With the exception of blaster turrets, there's no AV developed by Gallente that's Hybrid Plasma style.
Caldari: Railgun
Gallente: Blaster
Caldari: Forge Gun
Gallente: ....
The only other infantry AV weapon that we have is a Swarm Launcher, which is very effective against armor, but not shields. The Forge Gun is techniically a Hybrid, but stronger towards Armor (I'm pretty sure the Caldari didn't want to be destroying their own tanks either lol).
There's some type of weird balance that's like Shield Vehicles are awesome when fighting AV because of resistance to the AV weapons, but theoretically sucks vs another vehicle's blasters in terms of survival (of course we're ignoring skill of the pilot/driver). i.e charge up time and accuracy vs Full-Auto Turret able to maneuver without worrying about accuracy.
But armor vehicles are just better because they can fit stuff like a double hardener and can drive around with infinite hardeners and run away to safety.
Shield Vehicles have booster which take their resistance to our AV now, and brings it down even further. It's difficult to take down shield vehicles and even have a gimmick way of getting taken down (One flux strike + Swarm/FG = Easy Destruction).
We need an AV weapon that can fight against shield based vehicles the same way our AV fight armor vehicles.
When my dropsuit is broken and rusted off, I'll pick up the pieces and blanket the fallen. I am Ghost Hyperhex

forgot to mention how the plasma cannon can take down tanks but not aircraft. I forgot to mention this is mostly regarding aircraft. We need an axis to Swarms that are as versatile as swarms

Imagine something like a laser rifle and a SL. You have to lock on but keep the lock on the target as you sap away the shield.
